Sea
Quest Kayak Expeditions - Sea kayak trips
to the world's premier whale watching waters.

Our
headquarters is found near Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, in Puget
Sounds protected inland waters. We are a short distance from Seattle,
Washington on the border with British Columbia, Canada. Our location is
perfect for beginners to have their first experience to kayak with orcas.
Sea
Quest features both half-day and full-day orca whale kayak tours to the
only reliable orca whale watching area in the west coast. This location is
known as "Whale Watch Park" (Lime Kiln State Park) and there are only a
couple of other outfitters besides us who operate their trips there.
Unfortunately, many other companies advertise seeing orca whales on their
tours, but unless they paddle this exact area their chances of
encountering orcas are almost nil.
Sea
Quest also
features kayak camping vacations of from two, three and five days. These
tours go to the outer San Juan islands and are planned to follow the main
hunting and traveling path of the orcas. There are only a couple of
waterways through the islands that are reliably frequented by the orca
whales and we will use these. Our campsites will give us direct access to
the best orca whale waters. Although we don't see orcas on every
kayak trip, as they are wild and not completely predictable, we try our
hardest and will take you to the best places possible that conditions allow.
Many people are satisfied by the rest of wildlife that is seen on almost all
of our San Juan Islands kayaking trips: harbor and Dall's porpoise, sea
lions and harbor seals, mink and river otters, bald eagles, and incredibly
diverse tidepools.
This web
site, www.sea-quest-kayak.com, is your best source for information on our orca
whale
kayak tours and why Sea Quest Kayak Expeditions is your best choice. Our
kayak equipment is
graded expedition quality and will amaze you with the level of ease and stability. People of
nearly any age can participate in our trips - even children as young as five years old.
We feature women-only kayak tours, family
kayak trips, youth kayak adventures,
private custom kayak vacations, and a range of scheduled trips open to be
joined by
solo travelers, couples, families and friends. Custom kayak tours can be
