Our San Juan Island one-day kayak tours can be done in a single day from Seattle. This requires a short flight from Seattle or a two-hour drive to hop on the scenic ferry to Friday Harbor. After the kayak trip concludes you can take a flight or ferry from Friday Harbor back to the mainland and Seattle. And heading south from Seattle, we can show you a completely different wildlife habitat in the Nisqually River delta, where the fresh waters of an important salmon spawning ground mix with the rich waters of Puget Sound.

Nearly all killer whale sightings in the Seattle region occur in just one small area along the rugged western edge of the San Juan Islands. Our Seattle kayak tours designed for whale watching all begin by rendezvousing with us in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. After picking you up at the ferry terminal we transport you via shuttle van to the scenic west side of San Juan Island for the adventure. After our instruction period we launch kayaks directly into the heart of the orca whale waters. Almost half of our kayak tour guests see whales during the peak whale watching months from June through September.
